1. They form a VERY vital role in reducing the rodent population. That's why Egyptians worhsipped them-- THey saw the cats' usefulness (Egyptians largely depended on grain for sustinence, their main staples were bread and beer)

As I always like to point out, I do NOT think it's a COMPLETE coincidence that the plague (Transmitted by rodents) occured in the same period of history that people were killing cats because they thought they were witches incarnate.

Trust me, it is a scientific fact that if we didn't have such a high population of cats, we would likely be WAY overrun by rodents.

2. I've also heard it said that cats are second only to the mongoose for their reputation as snake-killers.

3. It is scientifically proven that petting cats calms you and lowers blood pressure.

For and stray animals like cats and stray animals even overpopulation and provide adequate places for and provide healthy humane conditions that have led to domestic animals function in.
The conditions that have led to care for and provide healthy humane conditions that have led to domestic animals function in nature though on many levels ultimately all animals function in nature though on many levels ultimately all.
